Kofi Kinaata Discloses Inspiration For His Yet To Release EP

Ghanaian highlife musician Kofi Kinaata is set to release an EP with seven songs after a decade long in the music industry. 

The EP dubbed “Kofi OO Kofi” was earlier scheduled to be released on his birthday, April 15 but did not manifest as planned. He said the new date now is between May 3 – May 10.

Speaking on 3FM Drive, the “Efiekuma Broken Heart” crooner revealed that the title of the EP was inspired by his fans.

Kinaata noted that the songs on his EP reflects his childhood stories, struggles and hardships and life lessons in general.

“The direction is a lot, childhood stories, life lessons, hardship, partying and the art of not giving a fuck. Aside Efiekuma Broken Heart, there are also a lot of life stories” he said on Tuesday, April 23.

Kinaata also emphasized that his EP did not feature any artiste stressing that it only consists of his singles which did not qualify for his music albums.

“Nobody dey top. It’s an EP and how I like is that I want to use it to clear my songs which did not qualify for an album to free my album,” he stated.

The ‘Susuka’ hit maker expressed appreciation to Ghanaians for the love shown for his music and craft.
